Kirchberg am Wagram is a market town in the district Tulln in Lower Austria with 3658 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2019) on an area of 60.26 km.
It is located north of the Danube on the striking ridge of the Wagram and is mainly known for its viticulture. The market town is located at least 20 kilometers halfway between Krems and Stockerau, on the north bank of the Danube, 15 km northwest of Tulln. The municipality is located in the south in Tullnerfeld and in the north on Wagram. The town of Altenwörth is located on the Danube, there is a large hydroelectric power station, the power plant Altenwörth. The municipality also includes smaller areas on the south bank, old floodplains, which were cut off by the Danube regulations. 10.46 percent of the area is covered with forest, the vast majority is alluvial forest.
